My Body Is A Temple: Create a body revolution with dynamic dance and soulful sacred music!
Which came first, the song or the dance? Devotional artists in ancient times considered music and dance to be intertwined, offered with love in sanctified space. In this workshop we'll learn about this relationship and how to create this sacred space with our own bodies and voices. Sacred music and dance are complete art forms that seek to express every emotion and flavor of experience. Together we'll stamp, stretch, chant, sing, twist, call out, hit, pluck and spin! The workshop features traditional drumming kirtan music and storytelling by the Mayapuris as well as beautiful Indian temple dance with the Temple Dancers.
